Matthew Hirst

Matthew Hirst has been the Curator of Woburn Abbey and its collections since October 2015. He is a specialist in historic interiors and decorative arts and has worked in country house collections for his whole career. He began his curatorial life with the Rothschild Collection at Waddesdon Manor, followed by 8 years managing the Devonshire collection as Head of Arts & Historic Collections at Chatsworth.  He lectures widely, and has published numerous articles.
