Tours & Study Days With
Peter Holmes

Peter Holmes trained as a furniture designer and maker. At 21 he joined the restoration department of the London art dealers Spink and Son and in 2001 arranged a buy-out from parent company Christie’s. He then established Arlington Conservation.

The Arlington business gained an international reputation for excellence and thrived on commissions from great houses and collections around the world.

Peter is a retained consultant with Christie’s. In the summer of 2017 he established Peter Holmes Associates, a freelance consultancy advising private collectors and museums on acquisitions, matters of authenticity and the conservation and care of fine furniture.
